It sure did for Jaida!!
The purchase of a wheelchair van for Jaida changed her life. She was able to get out in her community to experience the joy of freedom and independence. For the first time she was able to move around the local recreation centres, grocery stores, parks and more, allowing her to engage with people on her own terms. Jaida loved being able to move amongst her friends, family and neighbours. It made her feel a part of something that is so important to all of us…her community. Jaida was able to travel safely and securely in her new van without the discomfort of frequent transfers from her wheelchair to a car seat. Going out into the world to experience things that the rest of us take for granted became so much easier and so much more rewarding for Jaida. Our only regret is that we did not get the van sooner!!
