The year was an extremely busy one for Jaida’s Challenge!! In April we kicked off our Jaida’s Challenge Memorial Garden Fundraiser. Folks from near and far donated to Jaida’s Challenge and in their honour plants, ornaments and statues that reflect Jaida’s spirit were placed in Jaida’s Memorial Garden. We attended both the Honey Festival in Beeton and the Strawberry Festival in Hockley Valley to promote this event. On August 26th 2013 we hosted “Jaida’s Memorial Garden BBQ” that was attended by donors to Jaida’s Memorial Garden. A great time was had by all!!

In July we launched the “Wings of Hope Campaign.” It was an exciting and new experience for us…..building and promoting our very own “Jaida’s Challenge Demolition Derby Car.” It was almost too beautiful to smash up!!! We promoted this campaign at the Alliston Potato Festival, The Beeton Meet Your Neighbour Picnic and the Beeton Fair. Members of the community donated to Jaida’s Challenge and then placed a butterfly on the “Jaida’s Challenge Demolition Derby Car” sporting their name.
